Heresy, Schism and Apostasy
Definitions
The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines these three sins
against the faith in this way:
Incredulity is
the neglect of revealed truth or the willful refusal to assent to it. RE:
Revealed truth is manifest in God's Word alone, the Authorized Holy Bible. 2
Timothy 3: 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and
is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
1 John 2: 27 But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not
that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie,
and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him (Jesus Christ).
"Heresy is the obstinate post-baptismal denial of some truth
which must be believed with divine and catholic faith, or it is likewise an obstinate doubt concerning
the same; RE: Some
truth, which Must
be believed with Catholic
faith? That is contrary to what the inerrant, indisputable, Holy Word of God says. The Bible defines heresy as a work of the flesh: Galations
5: 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;
Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry,
witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which
I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
2 Peter 2: 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among
you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
Heresy is not just the presence of doctrinal oposistion.
It is in fact the attempts to replace light with darkness. Here in 2 Timothy 4:1-5 there
are those who do not continue in sound doctrine and they turn away from truth to falsehood, man made religion and then gather
teachers around them to satisfy their hunger for that which conflicts the Word of God. This process of spreading heresy goes in opposition
to the Word of God, bringing darkness where God extends light.
As far as obstinate doubt [concerning
the same (catholic faith)] is concerned; note that in the book of Acts (24) the apostle Paul was called a heretic for worshipping in accordance with the Way of the Lord and serving God,
which was outside of the tradition of the established church.
apostasy is the
total repudiation of the Christian faith; RE: The Christian faith is firmly affixed upon
Jesus Christ, "the author and finisher of our faith," through His flawless, inerrant Holy Word, not vain traditions or religious
apostasies that exalt themselves against God. For example, forbidding to marry and abstaining from meat (1
Timothy 4:1-3) , cannonizing saints, praying
to (or talking to the dead) (Deuteronomy 18: 11-12) anyone except Jesus Christ [even for, and especially to the queen of Heaven (Jeremiah 7:17-18 and Jeremiah 44:16-17) for
intercession], being a respector of persons (Acts 10) and calling
any priest "father", calling the Roman Pontiff "Holy Father"....
Matthew 23: 8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and
all ye are brethren.9 And call no man your father [in the church] upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 10 Neither be ye called masters:
for one is your Master, the Christ.
Galatians 1
No Other Gospel 6I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called
you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- 7which
is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of
Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should
preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to
you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
schism is the
refusal of submission to the Roman Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him." [Code of Canon
Law c.751]
RE: Schism
is typically and legally defined as a breach within a christian church. Refusal of submission to the Roman Pontiff is not
a breach, but rather obedience of the Holy, inerrant Word of God. (2 Corinthians 11:23, Acts 5:27-29, Acts10, John 14:26, Matthew 7:14-16, Mark 13: 21-23, 2 Corinthians 11:10-14, Galatians 2:4-5, 1 Timothy
6:20-21, 2 Peter 2:1-2, 1 Timothy 4:1-3, Revelation Chapter17, Galatians 1:6-12)
Let's examine the title of Pontiff: Before Pagan Rome became Papal Rome, the Pagan Emperor claimed the title
of Pontifex Maximus, meaning 'Greatest Religious Ruler.- The Spiritual Ceasar. Through the 4th century, the
Bishops of Rome called themselves "Vicars of Peter", but at the beginning of the 5th century this came to be regarded as not
enough. Since the beginning of the 5th century every Pope has claimed the title "Vicar of Christ." The supreme
position of the Pope as Vicar of God and Vicar of Christ on earth, was reaffirmed by the Council of Trent (1545-1563) and
was central in the Tridentine Confession of Faith, issued in 1564. To this day, all converts to the RCC must confess
submission to the Pope, as the Vicar of Christ.
"Vicar" is a Latin word which has the same meaning
as the Greek word, "anti". Our English "Vicar of Christ", the equivalent Latin title used by the Pope and the New Testament
Greek "Antichrist" are one and the same!! Re-read this carefully once again.
The truth may not be popular in this ecumenical age,
but neither was Jesus nor His teachings and warnings. So it should surprise no one with eyes to see and ears to hear.
Again, there is no need for a priest today in the age
of grace. We have direct access to the Godhead apart from any priesthood. The application of sacraments is non biblical and
therefore bunk.
1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: The Church's moral theology has always distinguished between objective
or material sin and formal sin. The person who holds something contrary to the Catholic faith is materially
a heretic.
RE: Remember the
Apostle Paul was also called a heretic for submitting the authority of Christ and not the established church.
If you are a follower or member of the Roman Pontiff you CANNOT disagree with
canon law! To do so means the forfeiture of your soul!! However, your eternal destiny is NOT, thankfully, base on RCC teachings
but on the firm foundation of the Word of God.
The Bible is the sole foundation for authority (sola scriptura)
rather than the Pope, church dogma or tradition.
